VAR GROUP IMPLEMENTS ‘FOLLOW THE SUN’ MODEL: 24X7 COVERAGE WITHOUT NIGHT SHIFTS TO REVOLUTIONIZE CYBERSECURITY

The new global model, now active, allows Var Group to provide continuous monitoring and response across multiple time zones, enhancing both service efficiency and the well-being of its technical staff.

 

Madrid, June 24, 2025 – Var Group, an Italian technology company with a strong presence in Spain, has launched its new ‘Follow the Sun’ (FTS) cybersecurity model this June, strengthening its commitment to continuous digital protection, effective internationalization, and talent well-being. The initiative enables 24x7 coverage without the need for night shifts, thanks to coordinated teams operating within the company’s Security Operations Centers (SOCs) in Spain, Italy, Thailand, and Mexico.

In Spain, the new model builds on over a decade of experience under the former Wise Security brand, now fully integrated into Yarix, Var Group’s cybersecurity competence center.

The model relies on a proprietary and distributed SOC structure, in which each team operates during daytime hours in their respective time zones. This ensures a consistent level of service and attention, while also promoting a better work-life balance for cybersecurity analysts. Additionally, the SOC is supported by intelligent automation layers that accelerate analysis without replacing human oversight.

In exceptional situations—such as the recent blackout that affected several European countries on April 28—this model proves especially valuable: Var Group’s operational centers in unaffected regions remain fully functional, ensuring uninterrupted support for international clients, real-time reporting, and assistance to critical providers.

The implementation of the ‘Follow the Sun’ model comes at no additional cost to clients and serves as a strategic lever to drive more agile, multilingual, scalable, and secure services.
